He decided to make a lame ass post trying to be funny. Man grow up. Y’all act like a bunch of spoiled kids.

No thats not what I meant. His post was meant to point out the large difference between you posting on a forum for a team you were never a fan of vs my posting on a forum of a team I've been a fan of since a child.

Once again, you are incorrect and it isn't even close. As a true fan since 1967 every loss cuts deep. Always has and always will. My reaction to the latter is actually becoming one of pity. To think that your life has sunk to the point where you get some sick form of enjoyment out of wishing for a team that you claim to have once been a fan of to lose and then, even more sad, to rush to a forum of individuals that are fully invested into said team to gloat over that loss is beyond description.

Perfect, let's enjoy the rest of the season together. I know I will 😁

If you think my post was meant to be funny then you really didn't get it.

Some long time fans are really pissed. I've spent decades following the team and supporting them. Even when there was reason to criticize their performance, the coaching or the leadership I have been extremely slow to do so. I have never been one of those fans who felt like the team owed it to us to win every game, in part because I understand that they play against other professional teams who also get paid to win.

And now, they pulled the crap they did this offseason. The athletes, teams and the league had an opportunity to be a unifying force at a time when we needed them to do so more than ever. And all they had to do was not fall into the idiocy that has been adopted by the far left.

Instead, they went embraced the BS and made our lives that much more difficult. You can expect to continue to hear from us.

If you want, you can try to defend what they have done. But you can save your breath if all you have are insults, they don't work.

So then it’s simple. Are you a fan or not? Do you support the team or not. A simple yes or no will suffice.

My point was simple. I don’t need to mention how long I was a fan of the Patriots. I don’t care how long I’ve been a fan of a team. If I’m done then I’m not wasting my time or energy simply to say I hope they lose every game. That just me.

I get it now...you still a huge fan...but you are hurting...the replies by you and flippx99 all make sense.

Hopefully time will heal your wound.

I agree JP 100%. I love Drew and what he’s done for the team and city but people won’t except the fact that Drew is basically Denver Broncos Peyton Manning level. Father Time is cruel but instead of living in the past we need to move on to the future however good or bad it might be.

Super Bowl 48 or Super Bowl 50 ? Emanuel Sanders was in SB50 as well.

I am okay with Denver Broncos Payton Manning.

I get the point you are trying to make just not sure you got there with that analogy. Drew Brees is no anomaly, Louisiana would elect Edwin Edwards again if they could, the state holds on to too many things way past their prime or even serviceable age.

Nope. Im not a fan. I haven't watched an ounce of one game this year and only check to see if the Saints are losing and can share in my joy to watch Drew lose his final attempt at a SB. Thats what happens when you are such a P worried about your announcer position that you literally lie to placate.

Thank you for sharing about what you would do. Hadnt really asked. People have a generally prescribed playbook they follow. First they will try to make you feel foolish so they'll keep talking about what they would do and hurl a bunch of insults of how youre wasting your time and your life is empty, etc etc. On average I spend a few minutes on here a day. When that doesn't work they will try to ignore it. They will pretend it doesn't bother them, but it does. Then it will come full circle.

At the end of the day let's just enjoy Drew losing. Let's enjoy big mouth MJ still getting burned by the TE. Lets enjoy female voice Mike Thomas with his kankle.

Just enjoy it, I know I am.

Like I said earlier, I have been a fan for decades. However, I have steadily lost interest in the league during the Goodell years. Last year, after the team was screwed over in the NFCCG the prior year, I watched very few games that the Saints were not in. It might have helped if Goodell had addressed that screw up honestly. As it stood, I can't help but think he is okay putting a WWE product on the field.

I might be inclined to forgive the Saints if they came out and admitted that they made a mistake falling for the BLM scam. If they actually gave a damn about race relations they would man up and do just that. Certainly they are not so stupid that they can't see that BLM is harming people of all races. Of course, it would have been better if they had pumped the brakes and made sure they had the facts right before they started endorsing that movement.
