Re: USA Today Saints Wire | Saints still lead the NFL in penalty yards through 4 weeks
We had a big enough lead after the first three weeks that nobody was going to catch us in one week. LOL! Maybe things will start evening out more now.

Those two (2) spot fouls penalties on Anzalone very suspect. I saw much worse yesterday across the league that were NOT called.

But the other one was stupid ridiculous, even when you go back and watch it at varying speeds... But Anzalone was often out of place yesterday, one one worse was Malcolm Jenkins; not sure if it were scheme, player mental failure or both... |

What's been horrendous to me is the holding that league officials are allowing this year...
Posted an ESPN article earlier in the NFL forum re: this; not right we've spent big bucks, high picks on our offensive line and their no advantage now that scrums can hold... |

I read an article in ESPN that stated offensive holding calls were way down this year as was mandated by the NFL to encourage scoring. Anyone else read it?

On that Marcus Williams' PI call, there was a blatant hold on one of the Saints' DTs.
Also, that PI was questionable. |

I think they did a pretty good job this week but we still have work to do. Like some other poster said we were pretty far ahead of the pact after the first 3 games other teams can’t keep up.

Officiating in the NFL is controlled by Godhell so that offenses can score more. In rugby the referees are not under control of USA rugby. We are a separate entity and receive proper referee coaching on a regular basis. The NFL referees aren't really referees....they are puppets!
Yeah, yeah, I know....it's not really a sport anymore because it's entertainment! |
