All that said ... WE fortunately never have to make those decisions, right? |

Re: Saints vs Chargers Thursday injury report: Deonte Harris does not practice
Would it really be all that bad if they paused the season for a little while?

Currently all 32 teams are under extreme protective protocols. What would happen if they pause the season? Not only would games be lost which would throw competitive balance totally out of whack, but what are all these players and coaches going to be doing instead of going through daily testing and such? Yup. They're going to out there screwing up. There's no reason to pause. They have had FAR fewer difficulties than they had anticipated. Just keep on course. Besides, there's no way they give up the weekly revenues. And I'm talking league and players. Seriously, Dude, what would they have to gain by pausing? Seriously wanting to know your take. |

Re: Saints vs Chargers Thursday injury report: Deonte Harris does not practice
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, at the time I liked the move. I also thought it was expensive and I was kinda thinking he would have still been available a round later. Looking backwards, fully acknowledging Two firsts’ story has still yet to be fully written, it was a bad move, a mistake. I keep that belief in check by reminding myself that none of us have the ability to foretell the future.

I trust that you are more into the draft and had a better feel on where he would have gone. Certainly better than me.

Regardless, Davenport must play, and play frequently, without getting injured as much as he has recently..., otherwise it will be very difficult of him to shed the “injury prone” label, and unfortunately that label could shadow the young man for his entire career possibly.
At the time of the draft, I remember someone tweeting the following: “He reminds me of Jadeveon Clowney..., if Clowney didn’t know how to play football”. I thought it was appropriate then, maybe even a bit now also. Tremendous upside at the time, but there were just as many ppl saying “whoa, pump your brakes on this guy” as there were ppl putting him inside the top ten picks. |

He’s pretty intimidating when healthy. Up goes a prayer for the guy!
