It's not like I don't believe you, Chris, but I haven't seen where it was a "sucker punch". I saw a tweet where someone said they bet it was a "sucker punch", but just looking for something verifiable. Where did you hear it and what was their source. Just looking for the truth.

That said, as long as Thomas helps us win he can sucker punch Mother Theresa. :p

This is all I can find after an hour searching ...

I recall a WR from Carolina who routinely killed the Saints "Sucker Punching" a couple of times. Didn't hurt his career.

How many Superbowls did his team win?

Nice set-up.

Ready for the PUNCH line?

Being a WR did he throw a HOOK or CROSS when it was GO time? Was he afraid to go to the MIDDLE? Did he land any punches to the BACK SHOULDER? Makes you wonder if we'll ever get his SLANT on the bout or will it all just FADE away?

Latest news from Saints Beats Reporters;

Thomas wasn't suspended for the punch alone, he then got into a heated argument with Payton.

We've seen this movie before, if MT doesn't grow up soon he'll be on another team promising to destroy us over twitter all season.

This team will look very different next year.

I have little doubt in my military mind that if MT start getting in SP face and on his nerves we will have trade talks with an associated huge salary dump and multiple draft choices. Just have to looks at what happen in NY with OBJ ... side note he has been Mr Nowhere Man since that move.

As details come out this is alarming. MT is looking like another Junior Gallette type signing

Re: Michael Thomas will miss Week 5 matchup with Chargers due to disciplinary issue

I can't believe he's been with us since 2016 can't seem to remember any earlier issues. It appears that he just doesn't get along with Gardner-Johnson
which I'm sure could escalate from team practices. I would think they go head to head constantly. I'm sure SP will get it under control, if not someones heading out the door.

Give a punk with no character millions of dollars and you have the results.

Saw it coming years ago with his ridiculous tweets.

Lil goof thinks he’s some kind of OG. I remember people defending him saying “oh he’s just built different, the great ones do this to stay motivated.”

Bullsh*t, you better learn what greatness is by the guy throwing you into record books

Do you want to know what separates most publicly quiet players that talk smack on the field from those that talk smack in both? Fine print in an endorsement contract or the requirement to uphold the leagues image in their player contracts..

I don't get all the virtue signaling in here.. Two players got scrappy and Coach heard an ear full from a very frustrated and emotional player.

That sh1t goes on in here every day LOL:confused::confused::dunce:

You're getting to be nearly as bad as Guido with your homerism and determination to look the other way when the team or a player does something wrong.

Sounds like the Saints we’re pushing him to play but he didn’t feel he was ready. Multiple Saints players have come out and said the same thing. Thomas is an EXTREME competitor and I have no doubt he would play through injury if he thought he could.
Doesn’t excuse his behavior. I’m over him. I don’t care about the fight but the tweets are cancerous and you don’t get in your coaches face.

Interesting wrinkle here. The suspension makes the 2020 and 2021 financial guarantees in Michael Thomas’ contract “null and void”.

When I saw the combination of Florio and Duncan I had a feeling something was half baked.

Read the bottom of the article:
“ UPDATE 12:50 p.m. ET: Contract to multiple reports, Thomas was not suspended. He was fined. This takes the voiding of guarantees out of the play. For now. Further problems could result in a suspension, and an attack on the remaining guarantees.”

Wake up call to MT. Get your shlt together. Everyone is expendable as was proven on MNF. Not needed to win. Brees learned that last year about 5 effin times. Not his fault but all these quasi stars are not needed to win. It can be done with lesser talent if the motivation is there. Hope he returns with a clearer head but I doubt it. Seems like he has turned into a shlthead.

Re: Michael Thomas will miss Week 5 matchup with Chargers due to disciplinary issue

Current Contract
Michael Thomas signed a 5 year, $96,250,000 contract with the New Orleans Saints, including a $20,000,000 signing bonus, $60,598,043 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $19,250,000.

I'm thinking if the Saints are paying me this kinda of dough to play Professional Football I'm also figuring they are probably going to want me to act like a Professional.
However yielding to the Direct TV commercial "this here's New Orleans and anything goes as long as you don't disrespect the Saints" and your Teammates..

Brother you can’t change people, that’s what young ladies think when they marry the azzh0le... “marriage will change him”. It doesn’t work that way, pretty much ever.

If you threw out a poll question: “would winning the Powerball change you” you’d probably find an overwhelming majority saying no... then the same people want an NFL contract to change a player..

We need to manage expectations a little better.

Michael Thomas and Malcolm Jenkins will never be able to do anything right again to a significant portion of this forum. If he sneezes it’ll be an act of aggression that should result in his immediate release.

Nonsense. We tend to hold team leaders accountable when they do stupid sh_t. We all love this team and expect somewhat professional behavior from them. At least somewhat cordial behavior.
