We spiked the ball on 2nd and 1 with 32 seconds left and a timeout then got stuffed on 3rd down. WOW. Seriously guys, this really sucks. You have to look at the coaching behind this stuff. And we still can't get a 3rd and 1.
I know it's preseason, but I hate what I'm seeing. Bad coaching. AB has good numbers and no points. More style over substance crap that we've become accustomed to. Overpursuit and zero discipline by the defense. The Saints suck balls. |

OK, here's the thing on that roughing the passer BS. Yeah, McKinnon hit him head on, but Boller was intentionally falling backwards to lessen the blow, which obviously lowered the position of his head. McKinnon probably would have hit him should pad high otherwise. Still, as a veteran LB you have to know that might happen and go a bit lower.
I thought Haslet was going to body slam the ref that made the call. I love that about him. It's just too bad he had to keep Venturi. |

McKenzie burnt for TD after the Boller head planting. I am not impressed at all with the D. They overpurse. Every long run Baltimore has had has been on a sweep to one side and then a cutback by the RB. STAY AT FREAKING HOME LB's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did you learn nothing against Seattle last year in the season opener???????? Is anyone pissed now that we took a day off to eat Boiled Lobster and Chicken Wings instead of practicing tackling and pursuit angles????????? Euphoria, I'm talking to you. |

Dude, if a bunch of pros didn't already know how to hold their lanes and take proper angles, I doubt a day of eating wings held them back. Seriously.
It is much bigger than a day off. |

Jim Henderson pointed that out, complimented him on the radio. Haslett has made a lot of decisions I didn't agree with - but I do like his fire on the sidelines. I'm pretty disgusted with the run defense, and pretty disgusted with another red-zone failure. I'll hold off onto full-blown *****ing though until I see the rebroadcast later tonight. I've been hearing Jonathan Sullivan and Colby Bockwoldt all night. Kudo's to these guys. |
