Re: Marquez Callaway 'all good' after injury late in huge game against Panthers
I agree with what Rez said about this defense not being near as bad as some of y'all are implying. Are opposing offenses moving up and down the field on us and scoring at will? No. Have we given up a big play or two here and there? Yes. But so have most every other team in the league. What I have noticed is that the rash of defensive penalties that were killing us earlier in the year are becoming more manageable.
Currently the Saints have allowed the 7th fewest yards per game to opposing offenses via pass and run. That is not a stat indicative of a horrible defense. I take it that some of you may not have been watching every game possible. If you had you would have noticed that the Saints defense is faring just as well or better than most other NFL teams at the present time. |

Ranking dead last, in the entire league, in number of Passing TD’s allowed shouldn’t be acceptable. And I do find it hard to believe that it’s a lack of talent on the field.

A passing defense that wasn’t dead last in TD’s allowed ratio would ease those close games.
Bottom line, successful teams don’t rely on luck, they create successful environments through unfailing preparation. |
