RE: Rohan Davey released by NE
But if the Pats can't use a guy, what does that say about him?

No. That Matt Cassell is a better QB and we all saw how good he is.

hard to say Matt Cassell is better cuz he really didn't play that well against our defense, however Rohan didn't even play. In my opinion N.E chose youth since they sign Brady to a long term contract & they already have Doug Flutie as back up.

With all due respect to Rohan, I'm a fan of diversity (not ethnically, but ability-wise) at the QB position. Brooks, Davey, McPherson - all athletic QBs seemingly with similar strengths and weaknesses. I'm not saying that that's not what we have now with Brooks, Bouman, and McPherson. I'm just saying that I'd rather see at least one guy who is a little less athlete and a little more "pure" QB in that group. That is why I like Kliff and wish that the Saints would make him the 2 for now and just dump Bouman, though I know it won't happen.

Now THAT's a good point WhoDat. I could see why we would pass for that very reason. But IMO, Rohan is more of a pure QB than an athlete. Not saying he isn't athletic, but at LSU Rohan liked to throw more than run, same in NFL Europe. And he has nice touch, and a good deep ball. I think he would be an equal mix of both athlete and pure passer. But good point.
