There might have been something to that KT tape on Brees' shoulder that was pointed out.

This looks like his tape job.

Okay, conspiracy theory here. If you watched the Giants/Bucs game this week you know that Daniel Jones had four or five wide open deep routes that he missed which would have all been sure TD's. Tampa Bay's secondary was getting beat repeatedly, but Jones couldn't take advantage.

Here enters the subterfuge. Brees mysteriously shows up on the post game interview with the right shoulder tape job clearly obvious. It looks like some cover tape had been removed to make it even more visible. Then, on the first injury report here comes Brees right shoulder.

Is this the perfect opportunity to let Brees take some shots deep?

Drew Brees on injury report, but he downplays right shoulder issue

Posted by Charean Williams on November 4, 2020, 5:35 PM EST

Drew Brees popped up on the injury report with a shoulder injury that limited him. The Saints quarterback, though, said he’s always limited on Wednesdays as routine maintenance.

“It’s pretty standard,” Brees said Wednesday.

Brees played with tape on his shoulder Sunday but continued to downplay his injury.

“Hey, I’m 41 years old,” Brees chuckled. “I’ve got a lot of stuff going on. Just keep ticking.”

Brees has thrown 13 touchdowns and three interceptions and has a 106.5 passer rating. He faces Tom Brady for a second time this season when the Saints play the Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football.

Brady has thrown one more career touchdown pass than Brees, with the two trading off the NFL record all season.

More concerned about Kamara. I was looking forward to seeing all our weapons on the field at once.

He's practicing. If it could hold him out he'd been held out today.

I was getting worried about him also. Awful long time to spend in CP. Glad to see him out, hope he never, ever goes back in!

I want to see the pass rush be effective. I want to see the secondary play like they understand coverages.

Yes, he limped off the field at one point Sunday.

Here's what he had to say about that ...

When asked to describe his injury, Kamara turned poetic: “You ever stub your toe on the corner of a bedpost or something? That’s kind of what I’m dealing with. That’s tough. It’s like, it sucks. That (expletive) hurts. I’m fine. I’ll be out at practice tomorrow. It’s more maintenance than anything.”

It was a limp..., and the rumors are that it is a bruised bone in his foot.

Did you limp for a bit right after you stubbed your toe the last time? I know I did. And it hurt like hell for a bit. It was sore for a few days after, but didn't really affect anything. I was still able to get in my daily five mile walk the next morning.

But, rumors are always right. Wait, isn't a stubbed toe basically a bone bruise? ;)

lol, I wasn’t trying to discount your post. And no! I don’t think it’s a huge deal, AK#41 came right back in the game and was beastly. I think he’ll be just fine. I guess a stubbed toe could be a bone bruise, I have no idea. It’s all rumors, and I clearly stated that. Never claimed I was an attending physician, overseeing his injury.

Great goobly moobly.

Drew’s shoulder is bothering him. Call me crazy, but some time this season I’d like to see what Jameis can do in our offense if Brees needs a week off to get his shoulder some rest.

Optic’s would indicate Taysom would the the choice ... if he can throw and read defenses he could be very effective mixing in the RPO I think CSP sees that as the next step.

Winston has arm strength mobility and he can obviously put yards and points on the board but will he fit this offense that this team and players have been built around are will CSP have to build a different offense for Winston.

I think if you put Winston out there you see Sean Payton’s real playbook.

Are you saying - save Winston for the playoffs

Guy has a cannon and I think he would be the logical successor to Drew

I really believe that Taysom should get a shot. He's earned it. That would he of course if Drew hits rock bottom and can't play anymore or his arm falls off.

I feel the same way about players like Hendrickson and Calloway.

Obviously, Calloway would have to pass Sanders. But man, he looks like he might be a good #2. Or at the very least play some slot or on the outside when MT is slot.

I'm pretty old school though. I like seeing players that bust their ass get a shot at the title.

Re: Saints vs. Bucs Wednesday Injury Report

Taysom can’t read the defense. He’s constantly making the wrong decision on read options. He was a terrible QB in college and he’s a terrible QB now. Jameis is miles ahead of him.

Re: Saints vs. Bucs Wednesday Injury Report

Not sure how Taysum deserves anything as a QB
Great offensive weapon but

8 of 16 passing

TD–INT:
0–1

Passer rating:
46.6

Passing yards:
119

If he was capable of being the succesor youd be seeing far more of him passing, especially last year with Drew out so long.

I think Winston will take over after Brees. Especially if he gets a good shot where Payton has an alternate game plan for when he comes in. IDK about all of you guys, but I'm so bored of this dink and dunk from Brees. I Love Brees, we ALL love Brees but if he is hurt... Let's see what ya got Winston.

What he did was he earned a lucrative contract through his performances and he's been well compensated through that contract.

If he is the best choice after Brees steps down, then I have no doubt SP will use him, but I have some serious doubts about that.

We have no excuse offensively if we have most of our weapons. Defense is going to struggle on the school yard unless they are playing hide and seek from the other offense.
