Re: Winston Eating the W
I like the fact that he can make fun of himself.

Re: Winston Eating the W
I think its dumb...but whatever.
I'm sure the kid was happy to get on the field against that team...the team that gave up on him. So let him eat his "W". I bet he slept well last night. Good for him! |

Re: Winston Eating the W
Speakng of Ready. Remember the HOF RB Divine Ozigbo the Saints cut last year. 9 rushes for 27 yds 3.0 Avg.
Ozigbo's absence comes as no surprise considering he hasn't been able to practice since promptly re-injuring the same hamstring that forced him to miss the season's first six games. Considering he seems to have returned too early from his original injury, Ozigbo will likely take extra precautions to make sure his hamstring fully heals this time before he sees the field again |

I thought he was a bolemic wannabe.

Re: Winston Eating the W
it was stupid then and dumb... but lets face it if you are that way then you might as well own it. He is trying to make it a thing now.

Re: Winston Eating the W
At this point it is what it is, he's a Saint and the team has embraced him and there's no looking back now. From what I see, If his number is called he looks ready to step in.

Re: Winston Eating the W
I think it's funny now, especially after a big victory, but it was definitely an odd thing to do in a pre-game speech. I like that he can make fun of himself. That's a rare quality, cause most people are too uptight and trying to be perfect.

I thought Drew Brees was going to stop licking his fingers? A: So, he started training camp without issue, but then I noticed on one day in particular, he was back to his old finger lickin' ways. On like the ninth day of practice (or something close to that) I counted that he licked his fingers six times when I was paying attention to him. I went back and watched the first drive of the Raiders' game and Brees — while he was on camera — licked his fingers 12 times. In the first drive. Here are my notes: As he's walking onto the field before the first play As he's breaking the huddle before the first play Before he takes the first snap Before he takes the second snap After the incompletion to Jared Cook As he's breaking the huddle for the fourth play Before he takes the fourth snap Before the snap at 12:40 Before the snap at 12:15 After breaking the huddle at 11:51 Before the snap at 11:49 Before the snap at 11:17 Those finger licks were just when he was on camera, too. So, based on this, it looks like he has a pattern. He definitely licks his fingers after breaking every huddle and before taking every snap. So in the case of finger licks 10 and 11, that's two licks within three seconds. He also — as he's said previously — sometimes licks his fingers after the play, as evidenced by No. 5. |
Re: Winston Eating the W
Him stopping his linger licking routine will probably have little to no impact on whether or not he gets infected with covid. While it is possible to spread it from surfaces or your hands, it's actually incredibly unlikely and one of the most overblown things our society has worried about maybe in my lifetime. I think I remember reading a study where maybe 1 in every 650 cases occurred due to surface related spreading and then touching facial area. It's very rare and difficult to spread that way(and thankfully the CDC has finally acknowledged that, as epidemiologists and virologists that have actually studied he virus instead of making some random guesses based on trying to look important on the news or out of fear have been saying that since almost the very beginning). Washing your hands several times a day is good hygiene. Cutting back on touching your face is probably not a bad philosophy either. Neither will probably impact your ability to get the virus unless you are just incredibly unlucky. There is no point in washing your hands until they are so dry that the skin starts to peel off.
