I think its dumb...but whatever.

I'm sure the kid was happy to get on the field against that team...the team that gave up on him. So let him eat his "W". I bet he slept well last night. Good for him!

That was what I took from it too. I never really cared for his character much, but the guy is a good sport if he can poke fun at his past antics like that.
