That was a bush league cheap shot on 3wuan. So much for "protecting players" by the league .

I have not heard anyone in the media comment on how Drew was slammed to the ground. The injury didn't occur because the defender "landed" on him with his body weight. The defender drove him into the ground with force. He essentially spiked him with one shoulder and arm. It was a penalty in today's NFL.

If anything the defender(Smith?) has been defended from what I have read.

Same here. Most everything I have heard or read is saying that there should not have been a penalty called on the play.

Drew heard the official say that driving him into the ground is going to get a penalty flag every time.
