Interesting. I’m no expert on other team’s D alignments, but It seems to me the more it moves to a passing league, more teams would do like the Saints and move to 2LB sets and add an extra safety to stop the pass. Under those conditions certain “power” type plays like this are likely to succeed against lighter D alignments. I’d imagine a guy like Earl Campbell or John Riggins would love to face that.
