What is to blame is not having a QB that cannot control the ball. It keeps the defense on the field far too much. Our offense crippled our defense putting them into horrible situations all day.

This is why I was so insistent on wanting Brees back this game. If there was any way he could come back and play 75% we would have won the game. Hill was lost.

Baloney. One person does not a team make. What was Drew Brees stat line from the last playoff game the Saints were in? Pretty sure it included one int and one fumble. So using your logic DB#9 was SOLEY responsible for last year’s playoff loss, right? I don’t know if Taysom is the future, I truly don’t. He made some very nice throws, and also some really bad ones. But HE and HE alone is not the entire reason the Saints struggled, ultimately losing. Taysom made some throws DB#9 is physically incapable of making anymore. Offense missed on its’ chances to score, Defense missed on its’ chance to score and ST left six points on the cutting table.

Bottom line CJGJ missed a “right in his hands” opportunity, and it was definitely six points. Taysom missed a wide open Emanuel Sanders for a TD also, and the field goal kicking obviously missed two kicks. The win was there for the taking.

NO portion of the team stepped up. Plain & Simple. <btw> Didn’t DB#9 lose two games this year as the starter? The answer is “yeppers.

Wrong.

Kicker missed not one, but two FGAs - the difference in the game...

Offensive line was porous, at best; Terron Armstead got horribly beat on a number of occasions and there was little push from the middle of the line. Ramczyk was even jumping offsides - another difference in the game...

The Defense gave up 17 pts including the bulk of the rushing yards in the first half, not late in the game...

And on the onside kick the ball was between not one, but two Saints - Robertson and Morstead and neither wanted the ball bad enough in the bottom of the pile...

This was a team loss; the entire team came out flat and played, coached like crap; arguing it all to one player is dishonest at best and shows a complete inability to grasp what happened in the game...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

I’d double like like this if I could JP. Only thing you missed was talking about gameplan/coaching. Eagles won there too.

Yeah, I didn't ramble even more than I normally do, but I'd mentioned in a previous post I didn't like Payton drawing up the Taysom-fumble play on the sideline - it was taking too long to get the play drawn up, on the field...

And Pederson had too much time to intuit and counter what Payton was likely going to do...

While Allen made the necessary adjustments for the second half, to get caught that flat coming out in the first half makes you question the game preparation, and you're right - that's on the coaching...

What bothers me in this aspect is that they are frequently outplayed early. Detroit, Chargers, Eagles etc have all been more prepared at gametime from what I’ve seen.
