Watching Hurts and the Eagles play
It’s hard for me not to get upset watching another team handle them like this. Saints just came in unprepared in every facet of the game and got ran over. Really ugly performance that could easily cost first round bye. At the time it didn’t bug me as much. It does now. Super Bowl teams shouldn’t do stuff like that.

Well, we're not going to lose another game this season and will absolutely win our second Lombardi. :bng: |
Re: Watching Hurts and the Eagles play
I sure hope you are right and, no I didn’t make predictions about winning. My point was I feel the loss was uglier now after time to reflect and see how Philly has done since the QB change. It’s a game that should not have been lost by the Saints and I feel more so now than I did after the game. The KC game didn’t bug me then and it doesn’t now. The Philly game did then and it does more now. Simple as that.

Re: Watching Hurts and the Eagles play
The Saints better let it bug them and be better prepared for the playoffs than they were for the eagles.

Ah we got owned by a rookie QB in philly I don’t recall many missing pieces for that game AG defense that is, we were ranked top 2 D man but not worried. We weren’t pristine for the vikes game either. Not worried at all though . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Watching Hurts and the Eagles play
There’s nothing to be ashamed of. His first three games were really good and then he ran into a division rival. It happens. Styles make fights. Super Bowl contenders lose to lesser talent from time to time. The Eagles and Cowboys have talent on both sides of the ball.

Off topic, but has there been any news on expanding attendance at all for the playoffs?

I know the Mayor has been firm on it, I was wondering if anyone had heard news about her letting up.

Re: Watching Hurts and the Eagles play
Philly game is in the past....happens in the nfl, with every team. And yes, I bet you can look at all eventual playoff teams this year and they all have a game they liked to play over. Not saying it’s okay, not saying I’m okay with it...just saying sh*t happens. Need to move on.

Rez, I was simply agreeing with Boston that we weren’t prepared for hurts. Tape or no tape on the kid , we need to heal up we need that freakin bye. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Watching Hurts and the Eagles play
Players, coaches, entire teams - they all have flat games. Saints seem to have at least one every season. Hopefully everyone got it out of their system vs Philly because there was not a man in that locker room without blame.
We'll absolutely miss Kwon but man are we a different run defense without Malcolm Brown! |

Re: Watching Hurts and the Eagles play
The Saints have a bit of history with Rookie and Back-up QB's, I would assume because there is not much tape on these guys to study.
From what I see the Defense has become pretty efficient although that injury to Kwon Alexander could be an issue. Now with Brees and some Receivers back the Offense appears to be back firing on all cylinders. Can't see Carolina getting in our way. |
