I know it’s early, but...

Since we know the Saints will be hosting a playoff game at some point this post season, what will you be serving for the game? I‘be done gumbo enough, so maybe I’ll do red beans and rice. I’m open to thoughts/suggestions from B&G folk.

What are you having?

I have cooked every meal through 32 years of marriage. I grew up cooking. But, on game days when I try to do something special it becomes a distraction.

But, I may pick up some oysters and go with a couple dozen each of raw and grilled. I've got some gator that I could blacken with a cream based pasta or deep fry as snacks with remoulade.

I feel you Guido. You don’t want to have the meal take away from the game. I guess that’s one benefit of being on east coast time. Games don’t start here until 1:00 earliest.

Begin the pre game with an hors d’ oeuvres of some Clamato juice and Budweiser 3 maybe 4, follow with the second course of either Johnny W or Pendleton on ice (depending game status).....could be either order actually. Then throw in probably some chips/salsa, hot wings. More into liquor than food around this time of year. I’m not real pleasant to be around during games, call it nervous energy, whatever, I have a big dislike for distractions during games.

I feel you there bob. Heaven help my wife if she’s around when Lutz misses a kick. I look at her like it’s her fault every time. She’s learned now to stay away from me during game time.

For me nothing, but I hear the Saints will be serving up Drew Brees a la carte just like in the vikings game last season.

Love my Mondays with red beans, tasso, and rice with honey skillet cornbread, but red beans in Louisiana are for those who get the hind tit, come up short...

Saints fans want Saints to eat - throw a rib eye on the grille...

-Chuck eye steaks seasoned with sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder. Cooked medium rare with melting butter on my green egg. Sliced thin into steak sandwiches on a french baguette. Lettuce, tomato, Peter Luger steak sauce for me.
-Hand cut potato wedges. Thicker than steak fries. Marinated in water, vinegar, and sea salt. Pat dry. Bathe in olive oil. Season with your favorite all-spice. Grill to almost done. Pull. Let cool. Back on the grill to finish which adds a little crunch.
-Gleason IPA's.
