I hope so, too. You are running low on draft related things to gripe about.

;)

Well, when you limit the number of picks, you limit the criticism, and those criticisms were correctly identified and bore out...

Here's what one of the PFF guys thinks; personally, am hoping Campbell stays and is Payton's successor within the next season or two...

Most NFL picks do not pan out. You know that as well as I. It's easy to "pick" them apart. (see what I did there?)

I know you, JP. The draft is your favorite part of the NFL season. This last draft must have been hard on you with so few picks. You must have been on suicide watch back in 1999.

First, you don't know me, I'm not featured on CBS Sirius radio...

Second, perennial contenders build through the draft, you don't need special inside knowledge to recognize this by the numbers...

Third, the numbers bear out, the more picks, the greater the chances of increasing team talent level - evidenced by the 2017 Saints...

Tell that to the Vikings with their 15 picks. More picks do not necessarily mean better picks. If you can evaluate talent efficiently and targeting that talent means moving up to absolutely make sure you get that talent, then settling for more players deemed lesser is not better.

As for 2017, it wasn't the number of the picks, it was the quality of the players taken with those picks. I don't know if you play darts or not, but if I was given a choice of throwing a fist full of darts at one time and five darts one at a time I would bet the bank on getting more bullseyes on those five darts every time.

Yes, perennial winners do build through the draft. Those winners don't need a ton of picks to accomplish that, however.

And we all know you well enough to know how much the draft and the evaluation of the draftees means to you. No need for satellite radio to show us that. :D

Oh, and I listen to XM, not Sirius.

Sirius XM Holdings Inc. is an American broadcasting company headquartered in Midtown Manhattan, New York City that provides satellite radio and online radio services operating in the United States. I have always had an XM receiver therefore I get XM channels. Perhaps you were not aware there are XM, Sirius, and SiriusXM channels and they can be different.

"There are three different kinds of radios, each with different technology: Sirius radios, XM radios and SiriusXM radios. Radios labeled as Sirius radios can only receive Sirius packages, XM radios can only receive XM packages, and SiriusXM radios can only receive SiriusXM packages."

XM technology is generally recognized to have better sound quality than Sirius, as well. It is a more established technology.
