Plus, there's the added bonus that if what injury ails him heals and he comes back and hits a big one - then his confidence will surge knowing his team had his back during a rough patch... |

Re: What's Wrong With Lutz
He doesn't look confident, I agree. I also don't think he is hurt. He's booming the kickoffs just fine. Hartley missed that one game winning short kick against Atlanta and went off the rails. Get angry Lutz and make that ball your B!

Re: What's Wrong With Lutz
I think he's hurt. Even Deuce mentioned it on the radio yesterday.
Bad timing for sure. Anyone else hate the call? I though we should have gone for it in that circumstance. |

Re: What's Wrong With Lutz
If he is hurt to the extent it's effecting his kicks you sign another kicker. He clearly lacks confidence right now

Re: What's Wrong With Lutz
You might sign another kicker. I am in the playoffs, have 4 M in cap space and last week all my RBs were gone due to COVID, I am saving that cap space in case a position I actually need gets blanked by COVID. phuck a kicker

Re: What's Wrong With Lutz
Letting it fly on a kickoff and kicking for accuracy up and over a rushing defensive line are two different animals...

Re: What's Wrong With Lutz
While I'd normally agree with you in signing one to the practice squad in leaving nothing to chance, I'd be worried at this stage with f'ing with the team chemistry, psyche as his teammates are still behind him...

It wouldn't surprise me if the Saints were daily testing them both so they can immediately clear the protocols. You can't add a player to the roster without two negative tests.
Edit: I just read that we also brought Walsh back in on Saturday for another visit. |
