The two practices that MLB needs to appropriate from the NFL is a real salary cap and non-fully-guaranteed contracts...

I think the term "strong win" may be a bit off.

We were a wide open dropped TD pass away from going into Half losing.

The offense was super shaky in the first half and managed to get going in the second. I don't know why we continue to come out flat in the playoffs, but against a better team, we'd have lost. Bucs could be that team if we don't get going early.

Agreed. Saints let the Bears hang around way too long. And I realize that there were missed opportunities for both teams, but Brady will capitalize on those. Count on it. The mere fact that we beat them twice this season doesn't make me feel more confident about this game.

I hope the players don't walk in with a mentality that they already won.

Look what happened to Pittsburgh last night as a perfect example of what happens when players mail in the W before the game even starts.

Again could this be Roger making this part of The network package/agreement and Sean had no say or choice.

The team doing a Gatoraid dump on their coach I get that .... not staged but in the moment and a sign of respect and team support.

At least Baseball has remained true to the sport and not tried any of this silly crap.
It was Payton's idea. Don't forget he has kids that were raised with Nickelodeon. And baseball needs to get with the program. They have already lost the newer generations. That's why the popularity of the NFL is constantly growing worldwide while baseball is shrinking even faster.

Don't forget that there was a time when the forward pass in football was a novelty and no games were televised. You're sounding like a grumpy old man.

Exactly, in the playoffs, like it or not, Brady is successful.

Pittsburgh talked so much crap leading up to the game and were down 28-0 in the blink of an eye. I'm not saying we need to light up the scoreboard, but we can't have Jared Cook gifting defenders INT's or Taysom turning a sure touchdown into a backbreaking fumble.

We just need to play solid, mistake free football and we'd win.

Easier said than done. I believe we'll see more and more guarantees in the NFL moving forward. What baseball really needs to do is to go electronic balls and strikes. Tennis has done it on line calls and it works great.

Goodell is all about pushing this Nickelodeon stuff but probably still too prissy to get green-slimed himself.

No pushing needed. Nick came to the NFL and payed for the chance to broadcast the game. The NFL continues to be by far the #1 rated programs on broadcast TV. I heard from David Baker on NFL Radio this Friday that 11 of the top 15 individual broadcasts for 2020 were NFL programming. Amazon Prime, Peacock, and CBS All Access are all jumping on board in the streaming realm since that's where much of the future is pointing. The traditional NFL viewers are literally dying off and being replaced by new generations.
