Screen not correct size

Screen not correct size

The threads are ok as long as the avatars are kept to 200x300 dimensions.

Re: Screen not correct size

I have the same issue as FF. I have to constantly scroll right to left to read a thread because the message space is too big. And that tweeter thingy is in the way and annoying. Is there anyway I can delete the tweeter thing off my screen? I don't Tweet.

Saintsfan4ever,

I need to know what web browser you are using and the version.

Internet explorer or Firefox, or any of the others. The exact version is helpful too - should be able to find that in your "help" or "Options" and "about" within the browser.

Thanks.

Yes it does LOL

Thanks for answering. One more question...

I need to know your screen resolution.

Here's how you get that.

  1. In Windows, go to your desktop
  2. Right click on any blank space on the desktop
  3. A small popup menu will appear and click "Properties"
  4. Another Windows panel appears named "Display Properties"
  5. Click the "Settings" tab and tell me what your screen resolution is set to. It will be a 2 number set like 600 x 800 etc. See the screenshot below. - THANKS

OK, from my initial assessment: it appears you're pregnant!

No seriously, I will run this on another machine and check it out.

Immediately, I'll tell you the minimum size for this site is 1024px wide, which is wider than your screen which is why you are seeing left to right scrolling.

800 by 600 may be easier to read because the text is large (everything is larger), but that resolution size is almost obsolete and was a standard back in the 1990's.

We have to design this site with the majority of viewers in mind and try to accommodate everyone, including you. With wide screen digital LCD screens as the standard, the high average viewer has a resolution of at least 1280px wide.

You're at less than half that width. So everything will seem zoomed in.

I will test and see how I can help your experience by making some adjustments. Check this thread tomorrow.

Also, I'll PM you.

Sorry for the trouble, I'll look into it and talk to you again when I'm done checking this.

Re: Screen not correct size

Thanks Halo!

Just one more question.
my "settings" has a slide to adjust the resolution. Currently it's set to the far left (800x600). So can I adjust that setting and reslove that matter on my end?
