Reflecting A Year Later On The Marcus Davenport Selection...
Quote:Dude Payton was trying to get a pass rush. He believed as a we all knew that that was the team weakness . It was the best option THAT year. Best options don’t always give you the world but it’s sometimes worth a shot and the guy when healthy is still a very good player. I for one am ok with giving it your best shot when there is POTENTIAL for greatness. Safe bets work ok but seldom achieve the superlative. Losers always play it safe.

Now we have those two starter slots tied into one player, one...
And as I said, that mismanagement is on Sean Payton; this is what happens when one guy has too much power within an organization...Posted 11-18-2019 at 01:09 AM by jeanpierre -

I could see your point if the two 1st round picks were mid round or higher, but both were at the tail end of the draft. The value was little more than two 1st picks from the 2nd round. Would you still be griping about that? I seriously doubt it.Posted 11-15-2019 at 04:32 PM by AsylumGuido -

Neugey, that's some good context of the situation; honestly hadn't thought about Ricky Williams, and that's really an astute observation...
Waltwil, he was coming along, but being durable is reality to the equation; we won't know till year 3 if he's durable...Posted 08-18-2019 at 12:30 PM by jeanpierre -

He was playing great...4 sacks before breaking his toe. Hard to push off without all 5. I think we may have a young Julius Peppers on our hands...we should all wish.Posted 08-11-2019 at 11:51 AM by waltwil -

Our franchise has a history of moving up fairly often and more often than not getting burned by it. As fans we are always going to see risk and a small percentage of it paying off. But the pressure on Davenport is minor compared to what was on Ricky Williams.Posted 07-29-2019 at 10:51 AM by neugey -

Response to NFL.com "Unpopular Opinions: Drew Brees is most underrated player ever"
As it stands now, I have Brees at #5.
By the time he retires, top 3 QB of all time.Posted 10-23-2018 at 09:10 AM by K Major -

Payton Must Show Self-Discipline and Continue His Path
Yes, and most of all. Just Pass. Dont run. dont try to run. stop pretending we can run... esp on the Goal Line. We cant run. We shouldnt try. trade AP and Ingram both, for OL.Posted 09-15-2017 at 05:05 PM by skymike -
Boycot the NFL yet again in 2018? My Response to Hagan's Question
They have the right to do it
The NFL has the right not to enforce it
I have the right to disapprove and turn off my TV.
No need for justifications from any of the parties involvedPosted 08-25-2017 at 09:57 PM by hagan714 -
Boycot the NFL yet again in 2018? My Response to Hagan's Question
Why do I have a feeling the NFL will get this all wrong and do whatever to fold to pressure.
The NFL will do whatever it takes to.....make money!

What will the Saints options be at No. 11?
Very Possible IMO
Lattimore? please say no. hamstring injuries go all the way back to high school and has been an issue every year since.
Fournette - i would hope gets the phone ringing. if we take him it changes the draft big time for us. With this pick there is no screwing around you gotta load up the offense to keep defenses out of 8 in the box as much as possible. So a quality back up RT for the future (32 - Garret Bolles OT/OG/DT Utah), a fast solid #2 WR (42 - Chris Godwin WR Penn St), blocking TE upgrade. He needs a FB and room to get up a head of steam so add a back up to the shopping list just encase. Ingram sees his carries going into the dumpster and thinking "now we are a power running team? "
I see this as a possibility
01) Cleveland - DE Myles Garrett
02) 49ers - QB Deshaun Watson
03) Bears - S Jamal Adams
04) Jaguars - DE Jonathan Allen
05) Titans - WR Mike Williams
06) Jets - QB Mitchell Trubiskey
07) Chargers – DE Solomon Thomas
08) Panthers – RB Leonard Fournette
09) Bengals - LB Reuben Foster
10) Bills – CB Marlon HumphreyPosted 03-19-2017 at 08:42 AM by hagan714

2016 NFL Mock Draft
If the RB back from LA TECH is available in the 4th RD we gotta take him. 87 TDs in college. Most by a RB in FBS history.Posted 04-16-2016 at 11:45 PM by billyt81 -

Eating Health At A Saints Game...
I think I'm like the overwhelming majority in the Nola market who do not watch channel 26 for news, or the "News with a Twist" show. I find them amateur at best compared to the big 3 here (4, 6, and 8) and their ratings say as much.Posted 09-21-2015 at 02:21 PM by Halo
