I think it is, isn't it. Don's in the Ring Of Honor. Don't they retire a player's number when he is inducted into the Ring of Honor?

That might be why theres a Ring of Honor. Because, lets face it, they do have a good number of HOF caliber alumni, and if they retired every number, players would have to wear letters. Remember when they un-retired Drew Pearson's # for Michael Irvin?

Dandy Don will be missed indeed. I never knew how much I would miss hearing the original crew of MNF. He was the perfect foil to the self-appointed intellectualness of Howard Cosell. Cosell would always say some verbose, overcooked statement, and Dandy would just quip back with something ridiculously simple, that made Howard look silly. He must have hated that.

Rest in Peace, Don Meredith. Enjoyed listening to you.
