Full Summary
SIR: Emphasis on first game was like a playoff game. How do you move on?
SP: Turn the page, make corrections, second half got away from us, but we have to put loss behind us but not the mistakes.

SIR: Indy re-establishes line of scrimmage. Is it a concern?
SP: We have to clean up. They tackled well. You have to be able to understand defense you’re playing and Indy played well. Wants to be more effective on early downs.

SIR: Jason David is singled out – what do you tell him?
SP: Cornerbacks will always take heat. David is strong enough to understand it comes w/the territory. He’s out there on an island, it happens. There were a lot of other things that caused us to lose game. We didn’t give defense breather. We struggled on third down.

SIR: NY v. Dallas (you coached for both teams) last night was a game of pitch and catch
SP: Both QBs played well. People around them need to do well too. Both young players played well.

SIR: QB position is most important. Lots of talk about how good Romo and E. Manning will be. What did you think?
SP: The minute you can play good defense the minute you improve your QB. Receivers for both teams stepped up. As did both QBs.

SIR: Injuries to saints?
SP: Mark Campbell listed as probable. Other than that – clean.

SIR: Interception at the end of the Indy game when Bush went to make defensive play– Eric Johnson cut legs out of Bush? Worried?
SP: Hope and pray that you can stay healthy. We’re fortunate.

SIR: Good luck v. lace SP: Thanks guys.
