We definately should not. Alex Smith should be back along with a healthy Vernon Davis. They still have weapons and solid young defense led by Patrick Willis. Hopefully Gore will be out and we can pull out a victory here.

You're right... we need to focus at the task at hand. One week at a time.

yeah REALLY papz, we're still in a HOLE. after starting off 0-4 I don't think anyone in the locker room should begin looking anywhere but at the film for the 9ers. Every week from now on is the most important week on the calendar. We have to win every single game we play - and if we lose, so be it, but let it be known that no other thought was in our heads except to play and beat the team we played. 12-4 should be the goal. If we drop one, so be it, but then the goal is 11-5.

Lets not lose any games before we lose them. And lets not win any games before we win them.

Oh I agree to not look ahead. One at a time.

This sunday Carolina host the Colts, Tampa plays Jags, if they both lose and we are successful in Sanfran then we are back in the hunt for the NFC South . I was looking at Tampa's schedule and I was hoping the Jags could hand them a loss... now I'm not as optimistic, but I'm pretty confident the Colts will handle Carolina.

Two very tough games coming up. Yes, it would be a serious mistake to look past the 49ers. Despite their record, the 49ers will give us some serious issues. Jacksonville just scares the mess out of me, but I am not worried about them until after the 49ers game.

The 49ers don't scare me in the least. I think we are going to be facing Trent Dilfer. If we can go up to Seattle which is a very tough road environment and win, we can definitely go put the wine and cheese crowd in it's place. The 9ers are a sinking ship. They are the model of a team that is losing and has started to point fingers at each other. Something the Saints never did after starting 0-4. I personally don't think the team should be looking ahead to Jacksonville. The team should always take it one week at a time. But as a fan I like looking forward to the next few games to see who we will have to face. I really do think the Jax game is the key game to our season. If we can find a way to pull even at 4-4 I really think we can do something this year.

Well now the speculation is over. Garrard out a month. To miss the Saints game.
ESPN - Jags QB Garrard could miss up to four weeks - NFL

Personally, I am thrilled about this. He was the third ranked QB in the league behind Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. We should have a much easier time with this game than if he was in there.
