How do you organize the secondary for the Pats.

Monday is coming. Porter is out. Gay has tweaked a hammie. Torrence looked pretty beat up in Tampa.

So you are Williams and Sharper. How do you organize the secondary to handle the Pats All-Pro receiver attack?

MJ had a good game last week. But MJ is a rookie. McAlister hasn't played in a game in over a year. But he's been a Pro Bowl player in the past.

Moss is Moss and Welker is Welker. They are going to be a load.

So who do you start? Who do you put on whom?

You're Sharper and Williams today. Make the call.

Not really a call to make. Greer should be back so Greer and MJ have to start with Gay being limited/out. For Nickel and Dime you have Young, Reis, and McAllister.

Even if they signed MM as reported then he probably won't be activated considering he's not in football shape and our D is a completely new D he's not familiar with.

So you take the rookie and his physical gifts over the old wily vet, McAlister, who has actually played against these guys before?

Let's wait til after Thanksgiving and see how healthy the players are then.

Besides, the Pats DC has to figure out how to cover Colston, Shockey, David Thomas, Henderson, Meachem. And possibly Bush and Moore. Don't think they have it any easier. :-)

Moss will be lined up in different places all game to create mismatches. He's a vertical guy mostly so Greer will have to cover (see Derelle Revis) and Sharper will definitely have to help.

Now, that being said, Welker and Edleman will be a handful. Jenkins covers Welker and he must be physical on the line. Welker is amazing in space and makes quick double and triple moves keeping the CB's and S's in the middle of the field.

I expect to see a lot of nickel from Williams to include Gay (where he excels most).

Pressure up front wins this game:
Tom Brady is one of the best QBs inside the pocket so I use Harper to flush Brady out and force quick throws. We need to keep pressure on their O line in order to wear them down by the second half like Indy did. So I use some delayed LB blitz's and I slide Grant inside on the guard more.

The Pats will get yards and will get scores but they shouldn't be able to sit back and pick our secondary apart.

We will need all 8 days to be ready.

Considering he wasn't active for Tampa, I doubt he goes from inactive to a starter.

IMO. Tell me if I'm wrong but we should do a lot if stunts with the interior line and show a couple blitz packages but drop back into coverage. Welled runs a lot of inside slants and some wr screens inthe middle or towards tge flats at his slot position. We can have MJ line up on welker and have him bump and release into zone towards the middle similar to a cover 3 or 2. Have vilma zone up in the middle therfore takin out the middle. Have greer cover moss while having Harper keying on him just in case while having him blitz the inside a couple if times. Have shanle zone the flats or bump any weak side receivers that may eventually run a slant towards the middle. Have sharper do his thing basically covering the whole field cause he is beast. Agree with the delay blitzes as well and assortment if zone and half zone man packages. Slowing the receivers in their routhe timing is essential considering the amount of talent they have. Also key in on faulk a great receiver for a rb. We might need vilma and fujita watching him when he's out. I don't recall their te as much I'm not sure if he's around but if we were to watch Watson, again I'm not sure if he is the te. Bit we need to watch him with a speedy lb or db. Nickel packages again will be great as well. Give or take I feel GW will run all sorts of schemes that willkeptp Tom guessing.
