REPORT: Bush Unlikely to be a Saint in 2010
Yahoo's Jason Cole reports that the Saints do not plan on bringing back Reggie Bush in 2010.
Bush's 2010 salary is $8 million -- an exorbitant amount for a change-of-pace back/special teamer. Citing a "Saints insider," Cole reports that GM Mickey Loomis doesn't want to pay Bush's salary even if 2010 is an uncapped season. Battling chronic knee problems, Bush has missed the Saints' last two games. He's averaged just 9.3 touches in his nine 2009 appearances. LINK Source |

Personally I wouldn't be sad to see him go. I would sincerely wish him the best though.

I like Reggie.
I do not like $8,000,000 Reggie. |

Don't think this is insider info. I think there is a good chance they'll let him go and I don't need inside info for that. It's just a cap hit issue. |

Exactly RMS!
Even if Reggie had some kind of miraculous break-out performance down the stretch and even into the playoffs, he's just not a key player that's crucial to the Saints success. I could see Reggie going somewhere else and helping out a team that needs help in skill positions, but it would be stupid for the Saints to pay $8mill for a part time RB and punt returner. Frankly, I'd love to see Reggie in a Saints uniform next year because he's fun to watch, but unless he's willing to take a major pay-cut, I just don't see it. |

LIES! Reggie knows his place is here, and after this season, he's gonna renegotiate to stay on a championship team.

First of all Jason Cole is breaking this story. The same Jason Cole that has printed just about every negative story about Reggie since he came into the league. I don't buy what this clown has to say, sure Reggie might not be back next season but couldn't this crap wait till the offseason. Right now the Saints need to focus on dismantling the Redskins on Sunday and deal with Reggie's contract when the time comes for it.
