Eagles, Now That They've Got Everyone's Attention...

Deuce McAllister has 7 straight 100-yard games on the ground for the Saints. He's in the class of Ahman Green, probably even better than is Tiki Barber. The Saints will get him the football a lot.

The Eagles gave up some yards to Barber on Sunday, but they still battled when needed. They attacked the line of scrimmage, and with Brian Dawkins back and with a game under his belt, he should prove to be even more of a weapon against the run.

I'd like to see what Jim Johnson has in his scheme against the run. Both Corey Simon and Darwin Walker played well against the Giants after looking, at times, worn out in recent weeks. The Eagles dressed 4 tackles on Sunday and got a lift from Jim Flanigan, who made some plays.

McAllister will run to the edges, so rookie end Jerome McDougle will have to be ready to contribute and help N.D. Kalu and Brandon Whiting.
Keep Moving McNabb

I loved the game plan against the Giants. It was perfect. McNabb moved the pocket, he got the running game going early and then the Eagles clicked in the play-action passing game.

It's so critical to establish the run. The Eagles now have a ground game that defenses respect. McNabb made an injury-depleted secondary pay on Sunday.

More than anything about the game plan, I liked the way McNabb moved, set, planted and threw. It was beautiful. His mechanics appear so much better and his accuracy these last few weeks has been much improved.

Keep it going. Defenses are going to blitz the Eagles. New Orleans may do it, although the Saints secondary remains suspect. The Panthers and Cowboys and Dolphins certainly will blitz. The Eagles offense will need answers
