If Devery Henderson is as sensitive as some, his feelings have been hurt more times than he cares to remember or to admit. If he's as fragile mentally as has often been suggested, he has had days when he didn't want to crawl out of bed, when he might have wondered if he actually belonged.

But you get the feeling he's none of the above.

You get the feeling that all these seasons he actually has bought in when he's been told by New Orleans Saints coaches that he's a critical piece of the offensive puzzle, that his skills as a receiver give him a place with this franchise, that points and yards are a little easier to come by when he's on the field posing a threat.

Which must make days like Sunday against the Bears especially sweet for Henderson.

He caught three passes for 103 yards against Chicago, including a picturesque, perfectly executed 79-yard bomb for a touchdown that put the Saints ahead for good in their 30-13 victory.

Good for him - I have never been a hater. I am not sure why people have.

He has not been injured for any length of time, doesn't act like a complete jerk, he seems like a great guy!!

He's worked hard to become a better player...

You can't teach speed - he always had that covered...

He lacked catching and route running skills...

He's been a credit to coaching for his development (other examples, Marques Colston and Lance Moore)...

That is so right. We all need to thank the recievers coach Curtis Johnson. The man can coach. I can't believe that no one has tried to hire him away.

After Devrey had lasik the drops went from a problem to manageable. This year will likely be the apex of his career if the run attack stays healthy. A lot more one on one.

Didn't know about the lasik thing. He seems to be catching more and dropping less these days.
