Thanks for the help in trying to enlighten those who aren't.

To summarize what I was tying to illustrate with the stats. Since the loss to the Rams the Saints have been effectively the best offense to ever play the game, period. Pass, run it doesn't matter. The only team that can stop the Saint's offense is the Saints. We play our game, we win.

True, the 49ers have a good D. Good....not great. Great defenses dominate the run and the pass. Great defenses don' t have a pass defense ranked in the middle of the pack of NFL teams.

People forget that our offensive line was in a state of flux early in the year. Since our O-line has gelled Brees has had time to read War and Peace in the pocket and the O is putting up huge numbers.

Unless the 49ers can solve the riddle of where's Drew Candlestick Park can really turn off the lights because the party will be over.

The playoffs are a whole new world and the 49ers just had a bye week to heal up and game plan for us.

They are very capable of beating us and I don't want to hear all the negative nancies all offseason if we do get beat. The 49ers definitely can beat us and it's not a knock on us...it's a credit to them

But, if you want me to express hesitation about our chances, I believe I just did -- in my previous post -- sure there are ways we can get beat -- but frankly -- I think we will have to beat ourselves.

Pointless passing yards matter very little when you consider the other stats ore telling stats
