Also, NFL teams carry 53 dudes plus practice squad.

Basketball teams carry something like 12 dudes.

Easier to put a team together with some real talent.

5 starting dudes vs 22 starting dudes plus back-up dudes and special teams dudes..............

I know your question was rhetorical but it got me thinking.

The level of play was semi average but I kind of miss NFL Europe, it took the place of no NFL in the spring and every once in a while someone would come back here and make it in the NFL (Jake, Warner) plus with Goddell determined to expand the NFL globally wouldn't NFL Europe make sense now

The ? is how much $ will it make?

Merchandising would have an initial spike but how do you sustain it?

Unless there is a HUGE guaranteed payoff for ALL of the NFL owners, I don't see them being on board with globalism.

We know Dallas, New England, Oakland and both NY teams etc will sell jerseys and hats.
Does anyone believe that Buff, JAX, CAR, TB and most others will sell anything?

I just don't see it working. I am not at all interested.

Actually the last year before getting shut down NFL Europe set attendance records for all 6 teams. Especially in Germany, who had 5 teams in the end, the leauge is greatly missed. I played in the european championships in 2010 in Frankfurt and during the games you would see more Frankfurt Galaxy jerseys in the stands than German Nationalteam merchandise.
