Porter is gone anyway and why draft a unproven OL instead of keeping a all pro?

well, unless you have missed the 25 or so posts on Nicks-Brees-Colston, we are having a bit of a cash flow issue.
A rookie might be our most affordable option. Last year's #2 is making $5 million a year

It will never happen not worthy talking about. A all pro guard for a the second pick in the draft never will happen.

Because we are fairly deep at several positions we are in a position to entertain a lot of offers. I can see where we could package a couple of players to make an exchange.
Although rarely do we make trades outside of the Patriots. When Payton took over the Saints he went to Belicheck and asked if he could model the Saints franchise after them. We tend to have similar style of players. Loomis does go out and make a trade occasionally. Just not that often.

If they wanted an upgrade at G and CB, they'd just throw money at Ben Grubbs and Porter on the open market.

That 2 pick of theirs will fetch them at least 4 picks... with two being high first rounders. Some are saying the #2 pick this year will be worth a Ricky Williams type ransom.

I'm with Papz on this.

The Rams are going to want a Kings Ransom for that pick. The sad thing is; they'll get it. Just not from the Saints.
