Cole initially reported that the ledger reveals that three $1,000 payments were made as a result of the Saints’ September 2009 game against the Bills. After PFT pointed out that four Bills were injured during the game and that three play defense, Cole’s report was revised to replace the game against the Bills with the November 8, 2009 game against Panthers.

Which brings into the question can any players be punished for what happened before the 2011 CBA?

I say if that is the case and this goes to court someone on the NFL's side better have something dated 2011 of this gets over turned.

Apparently there was only one cart off in the Panthers game..

Stay tuned for a third leak... Interesting they are saying someone in the NFL misread the ledger... Must not be very clear who was paid for what on that "ledger"..

When I was watching NFLN last night, they had Cole on via phone and he said that the Bills game was not one of the two games that had an exclamation point accompanying the $1,000 payment, which they assume means that the in game cart off resulted in the player being carted off being put on IR. Cole said that he was still trying to figure out what games those were.

And he was just talking about games in 2009, nothing later than that. Also he did say that the ledger was handwritten and by an assisting coach under GW, but refused to say anything more detailed in order to protect the person who had written the ledger.

The video report Cole released yesterday has been removed.
Hand written, no author, and no one to corroborare it's use or existence..that is one spade tight piece of evidence.

Double Leak Required

There can be little doubt that the NFL, which has refused to provide to the NFLPA or to the media evidence of the alleged bounty system in New Orleans, leaked to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports information regarding a ledger supposedly maintained by the Saints during the 2009 season.

There can now be little doubt that the NFL got its first leak wrong, requiring another leak to fix the first leak.
This is becoming GAME OVER for the NFL. Their evidence is SO SHADY that they have to leak it Yahoo sports without announcing it or sharing it with the public, then they get the facts wrong and have to re-leak it to correct it.

The NFL cannot be trusted and their totalitarian practices, combined with the monopoly they hold in this profession, need to be looked at as criminal mischief and tampering.

Nothing the NFL has strategically leaked means anything. None of it would stand any scrutiny and it looks like this is just another attempt by the NFL to sway public opinion.

Why leak this stuff? Why refuse to show it to those 'convicted' already? Good questions and I think we all know the answer...

Saintfan hit it on the head!!! Without information they leak unreliable info so that the public will believe it. People are sheep and will listen to anybody without evidence and then make a decision on guilt.
