Has RG made our road games even harder

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Im sure Saints fans will face even more heckling and harassing this year at away games as opponents will be pissed over the bounty thing. Do you think less Saints fans will attend away games this year giving opposing teams ...

I don't know if less fans will attend the road games, or if it translates to any real advantage. But sometimes I have really, truly, found myself wondering a little bit, if some of our New Orleans reputation at OUR home games, for being friendly, classy, peaceful, "Saints fans will buy you a beer" type of folks, the way we act towards out-of-towners and opposing fans - I sorta wonder if that is really going to be able to hold up, if opposing fans start taunting or hounding or really getting in people's faces about the bounty stuff. What happens to the mindset of the fan base, if the Saints are constantly presented in the media and by opposing fans as being this evil team, or having a negative reputation, or if we become kinda hated around the league. I kinda worry equally that dickish, ugly behavior by visiting fans in New Orleans might increase as a result of this. I really just don't know what's going to happen with that.

I go to away games every year. It's bad enough already in some cities. Worse will land me in jail. Not looking forward to that.

Let me know which games you want to go to so you can get into a fight. I've got your back. Nothing looks scarier than a fleur de lis coming at you 100 miles an hour.

It will be worse away, no doubt, don't think it will change at the Dome. Saints fans at the dome are still the same fans. Unless some other fan gets out of line, but that would be the same result anyway.

I became a Saints fan in 1993. My first trip to New Orleans to watch Joe Montana play as a KC Chief for the first time. The Chiefs won the game but I fell in love with New Orleans, the Saints and the fans of the Saints - especially the fans. I take a lot of crap here in Kansas City when I wear my Saints gear and get a little sick of people asking why I am a fan of the Saints....but I'm a proud member of the WhoDat Nation for 19 years! I got the NFL package last year and as much as I hate to give the NFL a dime - I refuse to miss a Saints game.

I know y'all as fans in the Dome and New Orleans in general will be fine - but I agree some visiting fans will most likely display some ugly behavior. I hope to be in the New Orleans in September when the Chiefs and Saints meet again. This time I'll be wearing my Sproles jersey.

Welcome Kcsaints

I don't know if it will be so bad. Some cities like Philly will probably give us a standing ovation

I am definitely reconsidering away games this year, and I already have 4 tickets to the Falcons game. The fact it's on a Thursday night probably seals it.

Will all of this affect the Saints? No.
Will it affect fans? Yes. Stay in NOLA and spend your money there this year
