I though I heard that if Goodell allows the 2nd round pick back it would cost the Saints their 3rd and 6th round pick, am I wrong?

Ivory doesn't have trade value.....unfortunately.

That might be why there have been claims by some (i.e. Vilma) that the Saints' coaches are afraid to take a stand on the matter of his suspension and the legality of it - hoping that they'd get back the 2nd rounder if they stay quiet.

Thats what I remember as well. I believe the suspension terminology actually read..."STFU and you might get your 2nd rounder back in 2013".

1st I've heard of this.

Found it

Saints could recoup 2013 2nd-rounder, but NFL could dock them other picks - CBSSports.com

"The Saints could get it back in terms of getting back a second-round draft choice," Wyche said," but it will come at the expense of some draft picks at the other end. … Let's say the Saints do not have a good season and they have a high second-round draft pick. The league could say, 'Okay, you can petition for that pick, we'll give it back to you, but it will come at the expense of a third and sixth-round pick.' "

I would trade Ivroy. A beast when healthy but only has a year left. Ingram is young and has a small contract. If he is a bust so what, but give him a chance. I hate Alabama but he showed ALOT of talent there. 1 year removed is too early to jump ship.

I just can't believe that people are even suggesting that Ingram could be a bust after just one season, after having practically no offseason to prepare for it, and in a system which features multiple RBs.

He'll be a star, that much is clear to me when I watch the kid play, and if the Saints were to let him go - they'd curse that day in the near future.

Put the pipe down, 656. Never gonna happen. LOL...

Ingram is going nowhere..... that would be ridiculous.... JMO

Yeah, there's no chance of trading Ingram... even suggesting it is just not having a grasp on reality.
