Terrry Bradshaw and Aaron Brooks

Are you kidding BnB?! Terry Bradshaw was poo! Aaron Brooks, now there\'s a real QB. If only the fans would stop picking on the poor Brooks. I mean really, he\'s the only reason the Saints have won a game in 4 years! Yeah, even when he was on the bench and Blake was starting, Brooks still did it all! ALL I say!!! And those fumbles wouldn\'t have been a problem if one of those other guys had jumped on the ball.

No one is suggestng that Brooks is ANYTHING. What I am suggesting is Brooks has been treated unfairly. Concentrate on \"UNFAIR.\"

More so than ANY other QB is Saints history.

Brooks hasn\'t done ANYTHING to deserve the treatment he has received from SOME fans. Oh, this is America, and everyone has a right to express themselves.

But, I\'m going to tell you what. If you can give me one GOOD reason why fans should cheer when Brooks gets hurt, I will NEVER mention Aaron Brooks again.

You and some others don\'t like Brooks and it has more to do with his demenor than his play on the field. Ya\'ll don\'t like the way he carries himself, just like the fans in Pittsburg hated Bradshaw becasue they thought he was a STUPID COUNTRY HICK FROM LOUISIANA. They were prejudiced in Pittsburgh. Just like ya\'ll are prejudiced towards Brooks.

Brooks doesn\'t fit you PROFILE of what you THINK an NFL QB SHOULD be.

No Billy, as I\'ve said in the past I was just as high on Brooks as anyone else in late \'00. I supported him over Blake during the \'QB battle\' in the off-season of \'01. His play has made me question him. Nothing else. His PLAY. I told you, I haven\'t given up on him. Like I said, he SHOULD be a Pro Bowler this season - but his critics are not all crazy prejudiced hicks, and their (our) comments are not unwarranted. In fact, you\'ve criticized Brooks yourself. I\'m sure you were just being FAIR - the rest of us, well, you might as well start calling us Castro, Hitler, and Hussien.

Hey, I have no problem critcising Brooks\' play on the field. But, that\'s where it should start and end. As you said, I\'ve critcised Brooks myself, But, I criticised his mistakes on the field. Not Aaron Brooks the person.

No one needs to be cheering when he gets hurt, or saying is has the IQ of tomato. No one needs to HATE him to the degree that they do.

In other words he has been treated unfairly.

Who was the one that went to great lengths to take up for Peyton Manning. I beleive you even went so far as to tell us you knew the Manning family personally and even had barbecues at their house and we shouldn\'t be talking about them if we didn\'t know them?? I can go find the post if ya want.

I don\'t necessarily feel sorry for Brooks. I don\'t like it, no. I have absolutely no problem when one of our players is criticised for their play. There is a such thing as going too far. Especially when you are so adimant about it and have absolutely NOTHING to back it up with.

You say you only judge Brooks \"the player\" but I can go find MANY post where you do just the opposite. I would rather you just admit, right here and now, that you despise Brooks.

Anyone that has been a member of this board knows you despise him.

Just because you say a few things semi-nice about Brooks doesn\'t change anything.

Now, if you want me to I can dig up a BUNCH of posts that will prove what I\'m saying is true.

But, I really have no desire to go to those lengths. I think, NO, I KNOW Brooks has been treated unfairly.

I\'m sure you feel the same way about Peyton. At least it has been your history to defend him to great lengths.
