Spags defense
Is anybody else starting to notice the time that Spags has put in with our D ends
They seem more aware, more explosive off the snap and most of all - we are getting pressure by sending only 4 of them!! Take a look at the sack and strip of tom brady from last nights game Check out galette and smith both get identical fast starts, lean their inside shoulders in and power towards brady, when he dodges galette its just an effort play for smith. Take a look And before nfl.com say the patriots line isnt very strong, we have done the exact same thing 2 weeks in a row, consistent pressure from only 4 rushers This is also helping our DB's make plays, they havent got to hold up in coverage for as long. Last note - Johnny patrick looks the real deal! anybody see him deflect that pass way down field? was a thing of beauty, perfect coverage |

Re: Spags defense
Couldn't have said it any better. Seeing Johhny P and Marquise(sp?) Johnson play, I feel pretty good about our CB depth.

Re: Spags defense
Our CB depth is looking really good. It may be a blessing that the starters have been sidelined for a week or two. We can get a lot of reps for Patrick, Johnson and White.
I think Bill Johnson is liking the new scheme better too. He was always known as a good teacher, and now he has a scheme that he probably prefers to coach. Things are looking up. |

Re: Spags defense
I think we will cause more turnovers this year we only had 16 last year one a game. We have to do better than that this year.

Re: Spags defense
I always said the only good D spags had was in NY with elite rushers but man those ends sure as hell were firing of the ball.
