The Next Big Thing

Brock Lesnar known in the pro wrestling community as "The Next Big Thing" has hung up his tights and is intent on going to training camp with an NFL team. He walked away from a 7 year 45 million dollar wrestling contract to pursue this. He has already worked out for the Colts and the Vikings. He is working on technique to become a defensive lineman. With this guys athletic ability and mental tenacity he ought to be trying out as a fullback where he could hit somebody on every play with a running start. He may be a long shot but it will make for a story though he wouldn't be the first to do it.

______________________________________________________________________
Nobody questions his tenacity. His strength. His pure athletic ability. Lesnar ran the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds, a blistering time for a man his size. He has a 10-foot standing broad jump. A 35-inch vertical leap, not to mention the bench and squat numbers. It's the tools of an NFL running back power packed into a gladiator's frame. The 6-foot-3, 290-pound Goliath, benches 475 pounds, squats 695 pounds.

"This is not some half-assed shot to see what I can do and try to make the NFL," Lesnar said. "For me, this is balls out, 100 percent.

"And I plan on knocking the snot out of somebody."

The Next Big Thing

Hell if he does get into NFL playing shape and technique the Saints could steal this guy for the league minimum. Not to mention the amount of publicity it would bring to the team. And he sounds like a guy that Haslett would love.

He\'s athletic - I\'m surprised Haslett hasn\'t offered a 6 year 36 million dollar contract already. JOKE.
