Re: TE Chris Cooley Released...

Could have been a top 3 TE if he ever had a decent QB.

But a Saint? What's wrong with David Thomas?

Re: TE Chris Cooley Released...

If he has something left I think he's worth bringing in. From my understanding he isn't sure he wants to play anymore and further than that he might still be hurt

I met the dude last year. He's a great guy and one hell of a player. From what he told me the cartilage in his knee is pretty much nonexistent. I hope somebody picks him up.

Re: TE Chris Cooley Released...

Cooley is a cool guy and a very solid receiving TE. Thomas brings so much more versatility as an all around TE/H-back so he is a keeper for sure. Cooley is more of just a big bodied WR. Kinda Aaron Hernandez like. Might be cool in a 2-TE package. If we have the roster availability I like the idea.

Injury problems. Might have some gas left, but a team can't count on him for 16 games.

Re: TE Chris Cooley Released...

As far as our TE situation goes... I like what I've seen in Higgins so far.
