1 game in how many years, so did that game save his job (NO) why because he sucks
You say he was the head coach not the D coord at the rams so he's not responsible for the DEfense, but we often refer to Payton as head coach and off coord. Bottom line the guy sucks unless you give him all pro players to work with and the Saints definitely don't have but maybe 1

If you haven't realize this yet, it's what have you'd one for me lately not 5 years ago. That's just life

I don't believe it is completely coaching...it's personnel..

1) Will Smith - Why the **** is he even still on the team
2) Sedrick Ellis - never turned out to be crap
3) Scott Shanle - Why the **** is he even still on the team
4)Corey White - The new Jason David
5)Roman HArper - slow, and only good for an extra man in the box. Terrible in coverage
6) Malcolm Jenkins - garbage safety. Maybe he would have been alright if we kept him at corner
7)Vilma - a has been that is only distracting the entire team right now with his bounty bull****

Our defense sucks. That should be the focal point next year. We need headhunters out that. People that can tackle and have good football IQ. Even though this is a offensive league right now, defense still wins games. Case in point : San Fran.

I Would Agree If Ed Reed Lost A Lot Of One On One Battles With Receivers....Whenever A Pass Is Thrown And Ed Reed Is There I Think "Thats Picked Off"....Whenever Its Between Harper And A Receiver I Yell Out Loud "Please No Pass Interference!!!"....

Probably not but I never claimed to be a defensive coordinator, Spud applied and got the job so who do you think is to be held accountable to what we saw today and last week.

geez; It's been two games! Let them get comfortable and learn all the nuances of the defense... There's an old saying " Rome wasn't built in a day". Same with a new defense, you're not gonna make a top 10 D in a couple of games...

We dont need a top 10 defense. We need an average defense that can hold teams to 20 points or less. The offense can still score even with issues they're having. Just goes to show how bad the defense is.
