I will go read the rule book or get clarification.

But since his foot touched the Pylon first before hitting the ground, that is a completed catch or TD. Touching the Pylon is the same as getting your foot in bounds, in the case of Moore, 1 foot hit Pylon first then the ground, his other foot was in bounds.

If he had hit the pylon with the ball THEN it would be a TD is the way I interpret the rule.

Keep in mind, a body part does not need to cross the plane.. the ball does.

The refs and the Goodell should share a part of the blame. The bountygate damage has been going on since what, February? And then the Brees contract problems and finally the stress of Hurricane Isaac. The Saints didn't even get an off-season as far as I'm concerned. We've been Goodell's punching bag since the day the New York Giants parade ended.

Aint the Pylon in the field of play?

meaning if your foot touches it, its considered having your foot in bounds before it hits anywhere else?

Refs????????

What about the defensive TD that was not allowed?

I only heard the game on the radio but the commentators said the the KC player fumbled the ball after hurting his elbow?? We then scooped up the free ball and ran it into the endzone! TD for us, or a least thats what the Saint radio commentators said, they could not see a problem at all, but it wasn't allowed???????

Maybe I miss heard but I'm sure that's what they said?????

I forgot about that one to because that was a defensive TD, but I dont remember if we ever scored on that turnover or not.

It was a stupid call because the runner wasnt down and they blew the whistle before he was even touched.

The rule says, as best I can tell, that his other foot - the one that hit the pylon, had to have come down in the end zone for it to be a touchdown.

For all they got wrong - and that was plenty - it looks to me like they got that one right.

I think they said they blew the whistle, therefore a dead ball. We did get the ball, but by rule, advancement was negated by the blown whistle.

When they reversed so many other calls, how do they not just reverse this one also? How does the whistle blow the play dead, when upon review, the play clearly was not dead? McCluster just let the ball go...

smh
