Let's not beat around the football bush. The defense for the New Orleans Saints will not be a stout unit in 2012. It has given up 2,793 total yards, and that is the most yardage given up after six games by an NFL team ever.

It is stunning to say the least. But the only saving grace has been that the defense has made some good halftime adjustments to keep teams from scoring touchdowns in the second half of games over the last three games.

It has only given up one touchdown in the second half against the Green Bay Packers, San Diego Chargers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
