This kid continues to impress.
Last year, Cameron Jordan had just one sack. This year, he's got seven -- at least one from each of the four positions across the defensive line. Jordan's versatility as an end and tackle has been one of the brightest spots in this otherwise-turbulent New Orleans Saints season. And the development of the second-year pro is one of the best reasons for optimism as they try to repair and rebuild this defense going forward. The 6-foot-4 Jordan said he dropped about 15 to 20 pounds this past offseason to get down to 281 or 282 -- the lightest he's been since his freshman year in college at California. Cameron Jordan's development has been a much-needed source of optimism for New Orleans Saints' defense | NOLA.com Last edited by SmashMouth; 12-08-2012 at 03:41 PM.. Reason: effed up front page |

Re: Great read on Cam Jordan
Easily our best all rounded defensive player
Great against the run, much improved as a pass rusher, he gets consistent pressure now, I think spags worked with him abit He will be the leader of our D for many years to come, I wasn't sold on him last year but he is having a very good year and looks like he will be an excellent player for us |

Re: Great read on Cam Jordan
I too was of the opinion we had another mediocre lineman in Jordan. He seemed average versus the run and not a great pass rusher, but he certainly made leaps and bounds in every aspect. He has a great motor, knows when to get his hands up and never gives up on pursuit.

Re: Great read on Cam Jordan
Really like Cam. He's one of, if not the best player on the defensive side. His jump this year reminds me what Justin Tuck did under Spags. Tuck's first 2 years he had 1 sack and 32 tackles. Spags came to the NYG in 2007 and from 2007-2011 he's averaged 8.9 sacks and 43.6 tackles per year by being moved around to different positions on the D-line. Very happy to see Cam take this leap, it's nice to see we may have finally hit on a defensive player in the first round.
