After making "Finish Strong" their mantra en route to the Super Bowl in 2009, the New Orleans Saints have done exactly the opposite during this lost 2012 season. They have been uncharacteristically bad in the fourth quarter this year -- and stunningly bad over the past six games.
For the season, the Saints have been outscored 98-62 in the fourth quarter and overtime. Over the past six games, they've been outscored 43-6. Quarterback Drew Brees has particularly struggled late in games. His fourth-quarter passer rating of 66.6 ranks 33rd in the NFL among all quarterbacks with at least 34 passing attempts. Brees has completed 54 percent of his passes in the fourth quarter with four touchdowns and six interceptions. I'm just ready to forget everything about this horrid season. From bounty gate, to right now. I'm looking forward to next season. I think we will play with heart next season unlike this season. The best part of this season was preseason. Cause we actually played good offense and defense.

Strange really.
That 4th quarter stat is horrendous. Yet it seemed the 4th quarter was no worse than the rest.
