The New Orleans Saints snapped their three-game losing streak in emphatic fashion Sunday with a 41-0 throttling of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
It was the Saints' first shutout since Dec. 24, 1995 when they blanked the Jets 12-0. Quarterback Drew Brees ended his mini-slump with a four-touchdown, 307-yard effort against the Buccaneers, who entered the game with the worst pass defense in the NFL. The victory gives the Saints (6-8) a chance at finishing the season with a .500 record, still a disappointing record for a team that entered the season coming off of three consecutive playoff appearances. The loss dropped Tampa to 6-8 and effectively ended any outside shot it had of sneaking into the playoffs. Read more: New Orleans Saints throttle Tampa Bay Buccaneers 41-0 | NOLA.com |

It was great overall performance by our guys but for the life of me I can't understand why TB, with 2 seconds left on the clock didn't kick a FG to keep from being skunked.

How great that I missed all this fun because my brother dragged me to the Falcons game. I thought that the Giants would have a great change of beating tem too, but no. All those hours watching the Falcons play great *facepalm*
Time to fire up my recording of this game and get in on the fun. |

Ingram played very well, his TD was a tough run, 3 defenders tried to tackle him

This and the first Atl game gives me much optimism for next season. The Saints can spank any team in our division. A couple pieces on D, and the Saints are back in business

Re: New Orleans Saints throttle Tampa Bay Buccaneers 41-0
And why is it that the Buc's rookie coach can suggest to the Commish that the kickoff should be eliminated? Because his team is sooooooo good!???? LOL
