this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Maybe the front office should trade all the picks and concentrate of FA's. They seem to excel at that....

Re: Saints picking #14 or #15
I'm not a big one for following the draft, so cut me some slack. From what I can gather, the Saints seem to be able to develop their late round picks? So, I'm okay with trading down, but I do know there should be a couple legitimate DE/CB choices still on the board at #14/#15 for this draft, so either way it's looking good.

The good thing is it looks a pretty good draft on both the offense and defensive lines. The not having a second rounder is a real kick in the balls.Being able to take a OT,DT,DE in the first three rounds would have sorted a fair few holes cheaply and for a number of years .

Well it comes down to the Saints board. If they have 5 standout players rated the same, try to trade down 4 or 5 spots, get one of your impact players and an extra pick.
If there's only 1 standout player, pick him. |

Re: Saints picking #14 or #15
We stink at 1st round picks. Drop down and get more picks. Jenkins, Robinson, Ellis, and Ingram are not stellar players like they were hyped up to be. Jordan is ok, but no show stopper either.
