My guess is Hicks and Smith battle it out in training camp. Whoever picks up the transition the smoothest will be starting day one. It's not going to be just talent but instincts and intelligence that seperates these two. Smith will probably be the back up to Hicks when the first whistle blows.

He's done that, but Martez Wilson has also languished on the bench, even before last season...

Don't think the Saints Brass doesn't know they're getting exposed now for their poor drafts and inconsistent free agency signings...
