TwoTE formation should help run game

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I think that with the addition of Ben Watson we will use a lot of twoTE sets. This should help in the running game and play action passing.Watson will demand coverage that will benefit other recievers. It is no big secret ...

Sean Payton is going to take apage from the pats and use his TEs to advantage.

No doubt; and Watson is a pretty decent blocker from what I understand. Should definitely help out on runs to his side

Will definitely help, we may be able to run stretch run plays now without ingram being hit 2 yards in the backfield every time

For some reason people were cursing the Watson addition saying we should be picking up defensive players - this addition is one of the smartest loomis and payton have made

Two TEs with hands? That'll also wreak some havoc in the pure passing game too.

Exactly,
and I thought all the Mark Ingram apologists argue he only runs in "run heavy formations."
Watson will actually improve our pass game (if that's possible) by giving the defense one more match-up nightmare.
Imagine a set with Colston, Moore, Graham, Watson, Sproles...
How many LBs and DBs do you employ?
Does a 2 WR, 2 TE, 1 RB formation require Dime defensive coverage? Nickel?
You can't go base 4 DB, 3 LB

There is just no telling what kind of formations we will see after Sean had a year off to plan them.
