If Saints DBs were allowed by Refs to grab -armbar-ride the backs of receivers-etc then we play 49ers.Seahawks coached to cheat as they are one of a few teams allowed to do this.I could live with this if it was called this way for all teams.Myself the reason it started to be more allowed by refs as the timeing it started to be called a lot more this way was against the saints WRs-HBs-TE- . The Saints were red hot an something had to change to stop Saints geting Homefield thru out playoffs.Think of this had any Dbs been able to shut Jimmy Down when refs called the game fair.I still could live with it but when rule only changed to help a few select teams something smells.when Moore pushed back just a little the ref was quick to throw flag.Thats when to me something rotennnnnn in Denmark.hard to write this---I will for one game be a 49ers fan.Just old nuts me as i think also more than one shooter of JFk in 63.

You've got to give credit where it's due. They have a great secondary and deserve the recognition. The same goes to the 49ers front 7. They're just that good.

Once you reach a certain status, you tend to get away with things a little more. That's just the way it is in every sport. Jordan got phantom calls and Greg Maddux's strike zone was a foot off the plate. You're only hating because you're jealous. If the shoe was on the other and we were the beneficiary, you wouldn't be complaining. With that said, it's normal... it's just human nature.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

Jamelle Hill on ESPN's Numbers Never Lie just said that "when you're seen as a physical defense, you get away with more contact," when discussing the Seahawk's DBs.

I am so sick of that crap. I really hope we get a big, strong, WR in the offseason. A Calvin Johnson/Plaxico Burress type that can get physical right back with the thug DBs like those on San Fran and Seattle. Have him on the field with Jimmy Graham to jack people up, then let our burners like Morgan and Stills ripping down the field...

They look a ton better because of what ETIII (Earl Thomas) does. Guys a legit stud and cleans up everybody's mess. If we can get a guy like that we would have the #1 defense in the NFL.

I've posted about it a couple of times. There are studies and evidence that show that, the refs subconsciously will give more calls in favor of the team on the field that they think is the better team. And the team they think is better, will typically get better ball spots, as well. So the way to get the calls to go your way, is to BE the better team that day. Or act like it, and be more physical, and disciplined.

And sorry, but the Saints were not "red hot" at any time this year. That's a stretch. Every time they played well, they played poorly on the road right immediately after it. The hottest they got was when they beat Dallas and SF, then lost to Seattle and looked like a trainwreck. They were great against the Panthers the first time, then looked dead against the Rams the next week. The only time they were possibly "red hot" was right after the Bears game, early in the season, and even then the Bears very nearly came back at the end to tie or win it.

if Saints DBs alowed to a half the contact as old Sea GRABS then saints move from 4th best defense to 1st.

What makes this case worse is if the WR's or TE's got physical right back at them is that they would get called for Offensive PI.

We saw one instance of that in Seattle when they called PI on Lance Moore.
