For ANY breaking news just set up a tweetdeck with columns and you will get essentially real time info. I haven't ever moved into any of the rest so can't comment on those.

Twitter is a blessing at the start of free agency when there are a flurry of moves being made. It's the only social media I use just to get up to the minute news from the beat writers.

Twitter has been around for a good while now. It is nothing new. People use to say the same thing about the internet when that got started.

I don't do twitter...

There are so many social media sites there is to many to keep up with and my time is more valuable than following all of them and having a presence on all of them.
