You don't go to a Saints game looking for a salad. Dietitian Molly Kimball of Ochsner Health System knew that when she got a chance to create healthier food for game days at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

"My goal was to make dishes that would not be expected as healthy food," Kimball said. "You're not eating your fruit bowl or lettuce while everyone else is eating something more decadent."

We don't need the food giving fans heart attacks before the Saints can!

When the Saints play, Eat Fit NOLA dishes will be sold on the main concourse of the Superdome at section 147 and on the second-level concourse at both sections 217 and 261.

Kimball and SWEGS Kitchen set up a pre-season tasting for NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune. Here are three of our favorite Eat Fit options:

Red beans and brown rice

I probably should not tell you this, but the red beans are actually vegan. That's right, no sausage or chicken stock. I didn't miss the meat. The beans were tender and the flavor smoky and peppery. You might want to add a dash of hot sauce, but I'd say that about all red beans.

Pulled chicken sliders topped with slaw

The miniature wheat buns, baked locally, are flavorful and fresh. Chicken thighs are used to keep the sandwich moist.

Spinach Artichoke Dip

The creaminess comes from Greek yogurt, although there is a little cheese in the mix. The artichoke hearts are canned, which adds a little tanginess to balance the richness. I want this recipe to serve at my own Saints watching parties.

then wash it all down with a 32 oz beer. lite beer of course.

Lets see I eat healthy all week. Buy a ticket to a game then eat the same way?

I want Court of Two Sisters Sunday Brunch and game day foods that are grease covered cholesterol bombs.

This is un-New Orleanian! If the food doesn't give you a heart-attack there is something wrong with it. Decadence R Us.

Things are lean enough with our salary cap and anemic pass rush...

I guess we have to keep up with the Mercedes-Benz image.
But from my thinking this is one of the last things we need to
worry about.

Re: Saints fans can grab new Superdome grub that is lean and healthy

Yeah, because that's what I want when I geaux to a Saints game - to eat healthy...

Allow me to share a little perspective about the nut jobs who are pushing this healthy eating at the game...

For those of you outside the New Orleans viewing area or who are still asleep before 7 am, WGNO-TV (New Orleans/Metairie) was hijacked in a non-violent coup d'etat few years ago by liberal, Left Coast News Socialists...

The early morning show is hosted by a stereo-typical blonde, self-avowed, stealthy liberal Ann Cutler (unsure of relation to the quarterback of great suckage) who projects herself in the fashion of some news crusader bemoaning stories of injustice and civil rights and idly passes over those that involve the Second Amendment or Christians who won't get with the program; only traditional minorities and transgendered confused psychopaths can be oppressed, infringed and she'd basically eat the garbage out of Hillary Clinton's arse if asked and is just waiting to punch her ticket and get the hell out of this southern hell-hole that can't seem to see the light...

Her co-host is smoking-hot, with a Demi Moore-raspy voiced, but sadly complementary liberal Jacki Jing who's a typical party girl, type A personality who has no clue how to pronounce named locations in South Louisiana, especially those with Cajun influence; though she does have the redeeming quality of being an animal lover (no pun intended)...

Off to the side with the least corruptible part of the news (Weather/Traffic) is the affable Hank Allen, a southern-born gentry meteorologist, Miss. St alum/die-hard, who personifies the phrase SMH when these two chatty Kathys are giving their producers' liberal take on the news which is recently focuses on Mitch Landrieu solving New Orleans woes by removing local heroes statutes, espousing Hilllary as the next coming and will make the USA just party for everyone with only evil corporations paying taxes, all the while projecting an attitude to the viewers that all you local people are just uneducated heathens, but that they and their liberal agenda will save you; making it tolerable is watching Ole Hank like a soldier suffering through it for us...

Which brings me to one of their two favorite recurring guest starts and the catalyst for this thread - Dietitian Molly Kimball who does a weakly Love It/Hate It masochistic segment that ignores the fact that the diet for 95% of the local populace includes jambalaya (rice), fried seafood and po-boys; she naively thinks that everyone is earning the same income as her and her glass-housed princess cohorts, and that everyone has the time and money to shop at Whole Foods Market at Arrabella Station daily and should be on the Paleo Diet™ (you know, foraged berries, water from a flowing brook, lean grilled fish fillets from the fish filet tree - everything that you can find in your backyard)...

So there's a little perspective for this story, if you're interested...

And it is this type of personas, with the exception of Hank Allen, that are the fastest growing demographic at Saints games and a big reason why the Superdome has become civilized for Goodell's ideal television audience and we've lost our homefield advantage, along with our pass rush...
