Re: 2016 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook

We need a 3 tech DT so bad. I'd like to move Jordan back to the strong side where he belongs and it would look something like this:

5 tech: Jordan, Richardson
1 tech: Jenkins, Davison
3 tech: ???
7 tech: Kikaha, Edebali

Looking good but I think they will move Peat to LG and draft another LT and RG. But the first 3 rounds will be defensive line unless someone falls that we can't pass on

I don't think so Cher; now while Coach Payton has stated on several occasions that he envisioned Peat at Tackle, and later said the vision could change, by the end of last season Peat wasn't as effective at guard...

Andrus Peat could lose starting spot at guard | The Advocate — Baton Rouge, Louisiana

I believe Peat's struggles last were due to the late start because of the Pac 10 schools non-conventional quarters schedule and because his natural position of Left Tackle is occupied by Armstead...

Peat should either overtake Strief this season at Right Tackle or he should make the effort to outplay Armstead if he's committed to being a Left Tackle in the NFL; and that would be fine to have two great left tackles competing, pushing each other to be the best...

I think you forgot Lelito on that depth chart. We'd be in fine shape if we moved Lelito to right guard where he's better suited and then drafted a new left guard. However, I could also envision Payton choosing to keep Lelito at LG and penciling in Kelemete at RG... Which would make a lot of us nervous. Let's just wait and see how the draft unfolds.

Has Lelito signed his tender yet?

Know he's a Restricted Free Agent, but I didn't want to count our chicks until our eggs were hatched...;)

Same thing with TE Josh Hill; waiting to see if Saints match or move on...

I would be very surprised if the Saints matched the offer.

Well, that would leave only Michael Hoomanawanui as the only Saints/Payton system experienced tight end...

Won't happen. Fleenor, Alphabet and 2 other fill in tight ends already on the roster can handle it. Josh was supposed to be it but turns out he wasn't all that and a bag of chips with tabasco sauce on it!

We'll wait on this one and you may be right, but I'm probably righter! lol
